Karen is 54 years old. Widower with two children, Kevin and Kristy. Karen has worked at the Methodist Church for 12 years, coached volleyball for 16 years, and coached track for 17 years. Karen loves to cook to keep busy.
MaLena Ward

MaLena has been a staff member at the First United Methodist Church of London since 2005. She and her husband Terry live in New Holland, Ohio and all together have three sons. MaLena and her family are members of the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Washington C.H., Ohio.
Michael Schreffler
POSITION: Church Organist

BIOGRAPHY
Michael Schreffler began his musical studies at age 9 with piano lessons as well as trumpet and violin. In 1979, his grandmother, thinking he ought to have a least a little exposure to the organ, arranged for a few organ lessons at the local Methodist Church his family attended at the time.

Well, that bit of exposure quickly turned into a passion, leading to continued study of the instrument while at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA, and beyond. Michael’s teachers have included Rebecca Borthwick, Craig Dobbins, John Walker, and Robert Glasgow.

He has held a number of church positions in western Pennsylvania as well as northwest Ohio, and has concertized extensively in the northwest Ohio-southeastern Michigan area.

Michael has two children, a daughter who recently graduated from Bowling Green State and a son in his sophmore year at Ohio University.
Steven J. Rodgers
POSITION: Senior Pastor

The Senior Pastor is charged with the spiritual health and growth of the congregation, offering passionate worship, administering the sacraments, helping to plan Christian Learning opportunities, guiding the congregation in caring for one another, involving the church in meaningful mission locally, regionally, and globally, and helping the church to live into the future of God’s intention.
BIOGRAPHY
Pastor Steve was appointed to serve First UMC on July 1, 2007.

He has previously served Crossroads UMC in Columbus, Trinity UMC in Lilly Chapel, and Newtown UMC in Cincinnati.

He is a mission minded pastor, having helped found Westside Free Store Ministries in Columbus, and currently serving as Chair of the Capitol Area South District Mission, Outreach, and Evangelism Committee.

Pastor Steve received his Masters of Divinity from United Theological Seminary, and did his undergraduate work at the University of Cincinnati and Thomas More College. He and his wife, Donna, have three children. Their youngest child, Loren, attends London Junior High School. Their son, John, attends the United States Military Academy at West Point. And their eldest son, Jesse, lives and works in Covington, Kentucky.
Sue McClelland
POSITION: Associate Pastor

Works closely with the senior pastor and lay leadership to create inspiring worship, and dynamic ministries that reach out to our community and our world. Pastor Sue has special interests in youth fellowship. spritual formation, and leadership development.
BIOGRAPHY
Pastor Sue is an ordained deacon of the United Methodist Church and has served the London congregation for 6 years. She is a graduate of the Huntington University (B.S.Education), the Ohio State University (MA. Education), and has attended seminary at the Methodist School in Ohio Srew Theology School and United Theology School. She lives outside of London with her husband Jon and two dogs, Brutus and Stormy. She has two adult children, Andrew and Jessica.
Teri Gray
POSITION: Director of Music

As Director of Music I oversee all music programs.

Our programs include: Sanctuary Choir (adult choir - freshmen in high school to age 100), Wesley Singers (includes grades 3 - 8), Kids of the Kingdom (includes grades K-2), Sacred Noise (a high school Christian Rock Band), and All The Time (an Adult Contemporary Christian Band).
BIOGRAPHY
My name is Teresa Gray and I am the Director of Music here at London First United Methodist Church. I have been a member and directing choirs here for the last 15 years.

I received my undergraduate degree in Music Education at Huntington College, Huntington, Indiana. I received my masters in Music Education at The Ohio State University.

I am a resident of London, Ohio. One of my best friends is my dog, Dawson (he loves me just the way I am). I love playing tennis any chance I get and love working out at the gym. My passion is singing. I love giving to others and sharing my ministry through song.
